Incompatible JavaHL library loaded. 1.7.x or later required
JavaHL Imcompatable with Eclipse 3.7 and Subclipse in Ubuntu 12.04
After installing Eclipse 3.7 and Subclipse on my Ubuntu 12.04 I was unable to connect to a subversion repository. I would get the following error:
Incompatible JavaHL library loaded. 1.7.x or later required.
I followed the instructors on http://subclipse.tigris.org/wiki/JavaHL
to fix the issue. After following there instructions I found that
everything was ok and up to date. The fix was to upgrade my subversion
to version 1.7.x or later. I currently was running on subversion
1.6.17. The easiest way to make this to work is add the following
package repository to your system and upgrade subversion.
apt-add-repository ppa:dominik-stadler/subversion-1.7
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
